MPP Classroom Visits
I have been able to visit a number of classrooms around our community and have spoken to students about how government works and why it is important to stay engaged in civic life.
I am happy to visit any school in Etobicoke Centre to speak with students about public office, answer any questions they might have, and share my civic education guidebook with the whole class. You can also download the guidebook on this page.
Interested schools can schedule a visit by contacting my Constituency Office at email@example.com or calling my team at 416-234-2800.
Class Visits to the Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of Ontario welcomes school groups for a free educational experience designed to support the Ontario curriculum. I have had the fortune of meeting a number of schools during the course of their visits and have had fantastic conversations about Ontario’s democratic process and institutions with some of our brightest young minds from Etobicoke.
The Assembly offers a host of programs for grades 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 and reservations for 2015/2016 school programs will begin on August 4th, 2015. Tours are very popular and spaces fill up months in advance so school groups should start planning school visits soon to take advantage of this fantastic resource.
More information on class visits to the Legislative Assembly can be found online at educationportal.ontla.on.ca/en/visit-us
